Hayley Marie Coppin has been out fighting the Christmas crowds and she has the bags to prove it. She strides through the wintry English high street in a gorgeous cream poncho cape, black knit hat, dark scarf, and tall boots, arms full of shopping bags and Christmas cheer, her long blonde hair trailing out beneath the hat as she stops at flower stalls and Christmas-decorated shop fronts. It is December in its full grey, glittering glory, and she navigates it all with the effortless style of someone who clearly has somewhere much better to be than the high street. She does. She is heading home to wrap presents, and she has no intention of staying dressed for the occasion.
Back in her beautiful bright flat, with its arched windows and Andy Warhol Marilyn Monroe print on the wall, she changes into a vivid burnt-orange jumper and grey jeans and gets to work at the glass table surrounded by colourful festive wrapping paper. But the wrapping gets set aside when she catches her own reflection and remembers what she promised. The orange jumper comes over her head, the jeans unzip and fall away, and suddenly the only thing Hayley is wearing is a tiny black thong as she stretches across the gift-strewn table. Have you been good this year? The present she has in mind is spectacular.
