Hayley Marie Coppin was in the middle of an outdoor fashion shoot for a knitwear company when things took a delightful turn. Out in the green English countryside, leaning against weathered corrugated iron and old brick walls with wild grass and hedgerows stretching out behind her, she cut a striking figure in a bold red chunky turtleneck jumper, dark blue skinny jeans, and her straight blonde fringe catching the breeze. The jumper caught on the rusty metal railings, she explains with a grin that suggests this may have been entirely intentional, and the only logical solution was to slowly, carefully begin unraveling it. The countryside setting, overcast sky, and crumbling industrial backdrop make the red of the jumper blaze like a flame.
What follows is ten minutes of cheerful, gorgeous chaos. She wriggles and pulls and laughs, the jumper creeping up to reveal a flat, tanned stomach, then the underside of her magnificent figure, then everything above the waist as the red knit stretches out behind her like a banner. By the time the sweater is fully clear, she is standing topless in the open air, laughing freely, the rusted fence and green trees framing a moment of total, unashamed joy. The knitwear company probably did not get the shots they needed. Everyone else got something far better.
