Whilst Cooling Down

Jess Impiazzi settles into the "Whilst Cooling Down" set with the natural ease of someone who belongs entirely to the afternoon sun. From the very first image she is already topless, perched on an orange towel at the edge of a shimmering blue pool in nothing but a tiny pink and white string bikini bottom, feet dipping into the cool water as the Mediterranean garden spreads out behind her in a sweep of palms and lush green. There is nothing self-conscious about any of it. She belongs here, and the camera belongs on her.

As the set continues, Jess moves freely around the pool surround, kneeling at the water's edge, gazing back over her shoulder, letting the warm sun and the soft ripple of blue water set the pace. The final images draw close, the garden softening behind her into a lush bokeh blur, the light falling across her wet dark hair in long golden strands. It is one of those sets where the mood carries as much weight as anything else, warm, unhurried, and quietly gorgeous from first image to last.
